The man in the bathroom keeps on taking my photograph
While telling me that bugs don't like music
I trained them all to answer my telephone
But he always runs when I try to plug him in
I watched a pink lady attacking an elephant
And she's got a soldier on a paper
He shoots me when I'm in my underwear
I can't sleep because he always wants to talk

ella has the sweetest voice. listening to it feels like floating. it's like the presence of a nightlight; a small glow in the darkness that calms you and allows you to rest. Laura B.

I’ve known of STRFKR since around the time this album was originally released (2012 or 2013, most likely). That said, it’s taken me until now (February 10, 2023) to listen to STRFKR. And allow me to say this is something I somewhat regret. This album reminds me a lot of MGMT’s “Oracular Spectacular” but less polished. There’s an earnestness to these songs that is undeniable, and it’s a helluva lot of fun. If electro rock is your cup of tea, bring an empty cup; STRFKR’s gonna make sure it’s full. Kirk Gauthier

A nostalgic record full of ambling rhythms, vivid imagery, and cotton-soft melodies tapped out on an ever-present ’70s synth-organ hybrid. Bandcamp Album of the Day Nov 11, 2021
